COMPUTER CLUB ISSUE 10
CHARTERHOUSE On Wednesday 29th, April the second group of year 4 children went to Charterhouse. We did lots of fun things like gorge walking and caving. We had hot chocolate for our drinks at breakfast and we had space ice cream. We went looking for slag and had to find bundles. The night walk was great. We walked about two miles. We also went to St. Hughes church. There was a football at Charterhouse and I kicked it over the fence. I didn't mean to but nobody went to get it. Caving was good even though I slipped loads of times. Gorge walking was climbing up water falls. I didn't do the big one though! by Sally.
I went to Charterhouse and it was fantastic because we went rock climbing, fossil hunting, gorge walking and caving. Gorge walking was my favourite activity because we got wet and I just love getting wet. We had a bit of rope and we had to climb a water fall and that was the bit where I mostly got wet. One of my friends fell over and got soaked. Caving was great because I got to see a sleeping bat. Miss Jones thought it was plastic but wasn't. It was creepy! Fossil hunting was good but you didn't find many good fossils. There were these fossils that used to be plants called Crinoids. by Michelle.

Mr. Luxton: [funny] I was on the motorway and mine was the only car on the motorway. [best] My cousin gave me a present.
Mrs. Watts: [funny] My cat was in the garden and there was a crow with a white tail. It chased my cat into the house. [best] Someone gave me a 'Thank you' card.
| CHARTERHOUSE If you are in year 3 and moving into year 4 this year then you are lucky, very lucky because next year you will be going on something very good called Charterhouse. Let me tell you a bit about it. You are split into two groups and you go on a bus for about 1 hour and a half. When you get there you have your packed lunch then you have a quick tour of Charterhouse. After your tour you find out what cabin you are in. There's blue which is called Foxes Hole. There is green which is called Swildons. There is yellow which is called Goat Church. There is red which is called Waterwheel. There is brown which is called Blackmore and one more that is the staffs. by Sophie

SPRING FAYRE The Spring Fayre is a festival at Minehead First School that is held in May. This year it is on the Saturday, 17th May at Minehead First School, Townsend Road, Minehead. It starts at 11 a.m. There will be a Fancy Dress Competition at 11.30 a.m. The entrance fee is £1. by Michelle.
There will also be lots of other events to see, a raffle, side shows and stalls. Don't miss the Children's Exhibition.
NEWS On Saturday I played with Bailey. On Sunday I went to my daddys and I played with Oliver. We played football. by Matthew.
THE ENVIRONMENTAL AREA I went to the environmental area today. There wasn't much to see today but I took some photographs of the pond and some of the trees. It was great fun! by Sally
