THE SPRING FAYRE

On Saturday I went to the Spring Fayre.  Mummy and Sam went too.  I saw all my friends and everyone enjoyed themselves.  I liked the tractor ride best and getting my face painted like a clown.  Sam liked the bouncy castle best.

Thank you to all of you for your help in the Spring Fayre.  We do not know how much money we raised yet because Mrs. Harrison is still counting it.  Also, thank you for all the bottles you bought in otherwise it would have been a thirsty Spring Fayre.  And an enormous thank you to Mrs. Harrison for organising the raffle [Mr. Riley for organising the Spring Fayre and Mr. Hunt for all his help is setting up the Fayre and dismantling the Fayre afterwards.]  THANK YOU.

MRS. HARRISON

For Minehead First Schools Spring Fayre Mrs. Harrison always does the raffle.  This year in the raffle we raised £1,345.81.  At the Spring Fayre I took part in the exhibition.  I entered 6 iced biscuits and I made a float of cards.  I won second prize for the float of cards and I won third for my iced cookies.

I took part in the singing by the choir in Mr. Snowdon's room and I played my recorder.  I was very nervous but it went off fine.

I enjoyed smashing the plates and I knocked down ALL the skittles on my first go!  But only about 4 or 5 on my second turn.

MRS SNOWDON'S DRAGONS

The children in Mrs. Snowdon's class love Dragon stories and poems.  They are also making a big dragon model made out of lego and a model volcano because dragons like to keep warm.

SWIMMING

Swimming is fun because you can float and relax and play.  I like the jacuzzi and I like the waterfall as well.  All year 4 go to Aquasplash for swimming.

IN THE PLAYGROUND

Everyday we have a playtime.  The bell goes at 10:15, 12:05 and 14:40.  There are a variety of things that you can do.  You can play football, basketball, on the apparatus and, of course, the field (when it is dry).  I play football nearly everyday except after lunch.

BARTON HALL TORQUAY

I went with the year 7 tutor group to Barton Hall, Torquay.  I was lucky to go because there was only one space left so Mr. Parnel ( the tutor of year 7)

said to my mum (who works in the tutor group) that there was a space left and would Ryan like to go.  Of course I said yes.  But I was a bit worried the other kids would take the mickey out of me.  When I got there I went to have lunch and then I had a tour of Barton Hall.  Then we saw our rooms.  In the morning I had a fry up and cereal.  After that I went back to my room and had a biscuit (I was in a teacher's room with my mum).

My first activity was aeroball.  The aeroball rules are, don't go in other peoples section, don't kick the ball out of other people's hands.

My second activity was trampolining - it was brilliant!  Instead of fencing I did swimming.  I am good at swimming.
