LEAVER'S PARTY If you are in year 4 or your a member of staff at the school they you're lucky because you are invited to Mr. Luxton's farm. So, I should go if you can because it's gonna be a great laugh. So c'mon COME!!!!!!! If you are not staff then I'm very, very, very, very sorry that you can not come. by Sophie
WHAT IT IS LIKE TO LEAVE MINEHEAD FIRST SCHOOL I think it is great to be moving school because its nice to see new faces and get to make new friends and I get to play with the friends in my road. But I don't want to leave this school because I'll miss it too much and the memories will go out of my head and I don't want to say good bye. THIS SCHOOL When I first came to this school I was a bit scared but then I began to settle in and know my way around the school. I got to know a lot of people. These were my first friends: Kayler, Bethany, Kiari, Emily, Page, Nancy, Carla, Danielle. The nice thing is we are still all friends. And I will miss this school when I move up to Middle School plus all the teachers. by Ella.
MINEHEAD FIRST SCHOOL LIBRARY In issue 10 Nina gave Mrs. Gould, who looks after the library for us, a questionnaire. This is what she found out. There are approximately 700 fiction books and 700 non-fiction. But the number is always changing because old and broken books are removed and new books come in. Classes which use the library keep their own record of which books are borrowed by the children. by Nina
TEAM GAMES In P.E. we are practising for area sports. The team games we do are: bat and relay, beanbag bucket, tunnel ball and wellie boot race. We have practised tunnel ball, bat and relay and the beanbag bucket race. It is really fun, I enjoy it!!!! by Sally
THE LEAVER'S ASSEMBLY In Mr. Snowdon's class we are practising for the leaver's assembly. We are learning three, well nearly three, songs but I'm not telling - it's a secret. The leaver's assembly is on July 17th for the parents but on the 16th it's for the school. I am so upset that I'm leaving this school. It's not fair I won't be the only Sally in the school - well I'd be surprised if I was, very surprised if I was the only Sally in the Middle School. by Sally.
This weekend I went to Woodcombe Farm to a mountain bike training weekend. I've managed to get on a mountain bike team that is called the M.B.C. I've been ranked second best mountain biker, for my age, in the whole of West Somerset. I am very pleased about it. by Felix.
HORNER WOODS I went with the cubs to Horner there were loads of activities. First I went in the water and got a rope out of a dingy and hooked the rope onto a stick in the ground. After that I did a tug of war and other activities. by Luke (Beefy) | A week ago I went on holiday to Corfu, which is in Greece, for two weeks. I was burnt on my shoulders but it's alright now. I made four friends called Charlotte, Jack, Danielle and Hayley. I couldn't dive but my dad taught me and now I'm a brilliant diver. The beach was just across the road from us. We rented a car with no roof and took my friend Charlotte out in it. We went to one beach and we saw a dog playing in dirty water. He was playing with the fish. Charlotte and I were catching them with our hands - well I was. I rescued a fish then killed one I flicked it out of the water then after a minute I put it back in. I thought it was still alive but when I put it in it just floated trying to breath, OOPS! It was a really good holiday, Corfu is beautiful. by Kiari Spell
MY WEEKEND ON THE BEACH On Sunday the 29th June I went to my cousin's house. My cousin is called Michael. He is 25 years old. About 2 hours later my Auntie Michelle came to Michael's house. Michelle, Sarah, Jake and I went down to the beach. Then my mum met us there and my brother and his friend went body boarding. After that I went in body boarding. It was BRILLIANT! by Carla Jones.
I went to France and I went surfing. The water was freezing! I went on a slow ferry. I found four shells. I showed my shells to my friends at school. by Michael
I went to France for the weekend. I helped Bailey to surf on the water. I fell down in the rock pool. by Matthew.
MY FAVOURITE ANIMAL My favourite animal is the shark. I am really fascinated by how they attack their prey. Why do they attack live prey? Why don't they eat dead prey?
My second favourite is a fish called the angelfish.
My third favourite animal is the octopus.

THE BOTTLE NOSE DOLPHINS The bottle nose dolphins live in the ocean. The colours of bottle nose dolphins are blue and white. Did you know that the Bottle Nose Dolphins are mammals? Mammals do not lay eggs. byRuby
