COMPUTER CLUB ISSUE 6
PANCAKE DAY On Tuesday it was Pancake Day and after school there were races in the playground. In the dining room Julie was cooking pancakes for people to eat before the races. I had a lovely English Biscuit. Lots of teams took part. The winners were: Group 1. 1st. Bullet 2nd Gryffinder 3rd Cool Dudes 4th Jumping Jams
Group 2. 1st Amazing Boy's Night Out. 2nd Pancake M's 3rd Townsend Tearaways 4th Backstreet Kids
Group 3. 1st B.A.T.S. 2nd Torpedoes 3rd Ashleigh Stubb's Team.
There were lots of other teams that took part so well done to all of them.

BEST FRIENDS Best friends are very important but they can cause a lot of damage to your relationship with other friends. My two best friends are enemies. I try to make them be friends but they won't listen. That makes me upset because it means I have to play with one or the other when I would like to play with them both together. It's not fair! So if anyone asks you to be their friend be careful because you know what might happen!! by Michelle
MUSIC ON THE COMPUTERS Phil Heeley who is in charge of Somerset Music came to Minehead First School on the 13th February, 2003 to do some music work. We had a long white screen with a program called E-Jay. It is a program with bars of music. We had to put in a piece of music to record and then take down to Butlins for the Music Spectacular so that other schools can listen to what our school is like. Then we made up raps in groups of 4 and 5 people. After we recorded each of our raps. The music sounded really good. If you want to listen to us singing "The Owl and the Pussy Cat", come to Centre Stage in Butlins. (You have to buy a ticket though.) See you there!! by Sophie
THE SPECTACULAR The songs we have to sing are quite hard, they're called: 1. That Cat and that Bird 2. Life on the Ocean Waves 3. Chorus of disapproval 4. Caterwaul 5. Who's gonna save us now? 6. My Owly has flown away. 7. Really good to see you my dear. 8. Owl-Cat 9. Little hotel by the sea. I reckon it's going to be hard and we have to meet with other schools and we have to take our own tea. by Michelle

| MY HOLIDAY
Last week we all had our weeks holiday. I think we all enjoyed it so here is the story of my week. Monday: On Monday I was ill again. I slept all day until around 15:00 hrs. Then we all played Monopoly and I won yet again. Tuesday: On Tuesday I was in a golf competition and I came in second with 34 points. Wednesday: On Wednesday I went down to my Grandad's house. He was really busy so I went down to the bottom of the garden and I dug a massive hole and found a whole wheelbarrow full of clay. Thursday: On Thursday I went down to my grandads and at 9:12 I played golf again. Friday: On Friday I went to my grandads again and did my clay works again. Saturday: On Saturday I went over to the Rec and played football for my football team Minehead Raleighs. We beat top of the league and lost to 5th place. Sunday: I played golf with my grandad and beat him 7 and 6. So that is my weeks story. by Connor
KILVE COURT In the holiday I went to Kilve Court on a writing course. The food was really nice. Collin showed us how to make a poem rhyme. The beds were cosy but the radiator was making a noise. I enjoyed writing a story but is was a little boring because it stayed in the same place - KILVE COURT!! by Luke

REVIEWS "Together" is the album by S'Club Juniors. There are five girls and three boys in the band. My favourite tracks are 'One Step Closer' and 'New Direction'. by Nina
GAME REVIEW My favourite Play Station 2 game is Final Fantasy X. You are on a mission to destroy and evil monster called Sin. He is bringing death to Spearer and only the final summoning can defeat Sin. You have other things in the way, so you can't complete the game in one day. (Only with 'cheats' can you complete the game in one day.) It is a very hard game. I am nearly quarter of the way through. I've been on it for 41 hours. It is really frustrating!! by Ryan
HORRIBLE HISTORY The horrible history collection are a set of books that are very good. They have started to make a magazine of them. I'm collecting them - are you? by Sally
ENID BLYTON BOOKS The Enid Blyton books are amazing. My favourite is the Famous Five. Their names are Ann, Dick, George (proper name Georgina but she doesn't like being called that.), Julian and Timmy the dog. Join them with their friends in all the books. by Sally
