Ex-pupil seeks friends.
I was formerly Judy Budd, and attended St.Teresas School during the war years with my older sister Jennifer. We were day pupils I would like to hear from anyone who was at the school at this time. I have many happy memories of the kindness of the Nuns though I was a sickly child and did not attend as frequently as my sister. Jill Dalling was a great friend of hers. Another person who is interested in making contact with pupils of this period is Gerda who was a Boarder.

Swimming during school time
We would like to thank our PTA for the excellent support they give us. As well as paying for visiting authors, theatre etc they completely cover the cost of our swimming pool. Therefore we do not have to charge for swimming during school time. The pool is available for hire after school during the summer term and in the summer holiday when the caretaker is on site. Letters about using the web-site, internet and e-mail services
The return of both these letters is most important so that we can decide on what material can be displayed on this site and which children can be taught how to use the internet and e-mail systems. Just a few parents so far have stated that they do not want a picture of their child(ren) displayed on the web site as part of a group photograph. A similar number of parents have asked that their child's christian name should not be used. In order to comply with these requests all photographs are at present being deleted. New photographs will be displayed with care. Back to top

Recipe for a Spring Fayre by Rachel Lee
Take a generous helping of teachers, support staff, governors, parents, family and friends who care about Minehead First School.

Choose a sunny Saturday in May!

Let everyone know it's happening through posters, notices, and banners. Throw in good quiz to get them guessing.

Lots of donations, plants, books, bric-a-brac, bottles, prizes and cakes and a caretakers with a heart of gold and a dodgy knee.

Make a display of the children's work, cooking and models, with a sprinkling of parental help. Add a magic spell from several teachers and judges for a superb Exhibition.

Take a lot of spare time and talent for Country Dancing, May Pole Dancing and Choir. Add a nursery rhyme theme for a fancy dress parade.

A spoonful of jazz music.

A thousand people, adults and children, turning up to spend their money on the many stalls, games, barbeque, and sandwiches.

A mammoth raffle with a ton of prizes.

Put altogether with lots of enthusiasm and smiles.

Result: lots of happy children and adults and the school £4017 better off.

A big thank you to everyone. We couldn't have done it without you! Back to top
