THE OWL AND THE PUSSYCAT

We went to Butlins to sing 'The Owl and the Pussycat' and 'Echoes of Time'. In 'Echoes of Time' all the choir did some hand clapping, some played tambourines, two played rainmakers and one played an egg shaker. Mr. Bowen was the conductor, he was funny in the practice. The college band played before we heard our dance track we did with Phil from Somerset Music. You can see use choosing the samples in the photo above. We made a video of us dancing to the track.

We went to Butlins to sing 'The Owl and the Pussycat.' At the start we sang 'Echoes of Time' with the college band in front of at least 345 people. It was great but also embarassing because my Mum was there. Mr. Riley sorted the children out into height order. Phil from Somerset Music played our dance track which he came to school to help us compose.

To find out what other children thought of the day go to SPECTACULAR - COMMENTS

I am in the First School choir and on March 20th we went to Centre Stage in Butlins. We were with all the schools from West Somerset for the West Somerset Spectacular which takes place every year. We were singing 'The Owl and the Pussycat.' The college band were playing the music. The conductor was called Mr. Bowen. The band played a piece of music called 'Echoes of Time.' The schools did some things. We clapped, played rainmakers, egg shakers and recorders. We sang 'I Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside.' My favourite was 'Echoes of Time.'

At quarter to three the coach picked us up. The trip took ten minutes. We went staight to Centre Stage. We started the practice almost immediately. We did 'The Owl and the Pussycat' first then 'Echoes of Time.' Then we had tea. After tea, before the performance began, we let off steam. Then we performed to a large audince. We sang 'I Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside.' The audience joined in for this song.
